The first type of debris that you might see floating by is "Plank" planks are pretty self explanatory and aren't that exciting, but they are an essential to expanding on your raft and crafting pretty much anything. If you follow the controls in the first segment you will know how to use that hook to grab the debris. You will start off on a 2x2 wooden raft, you will see a wooden hook in your hand. This is what you will see once you load into your world for the first time. Saved files can later on be found in the main menu. Saving can be done by either exiting to the main menu or by exiting the game. Hold left mouse button -> Desrtoy build objects / cut palm tree Hold left mouse button -> Drag hook towards youĬlick right mouse button-> Abort/Instantly recieve hook to handĬlick left mouse button -> Pull fish from water Hold right mouse button -> Opens build menu Here is a list of the controls, if you are a semi experienced gamer you can skip these.ī/TAB-> Open/close bag & crafting menucrafting menu These are the avaliable languages that you can select under settings. This is the "Load World" screen, this screen is irrelevant if you haven't made a world yet, this will become useful later. ![]() ![]() If you just installed raft you need some pretty big balls to click on "Hard" and play it as a beginner. Your thirst and hunger bars are drained fairly quick and harder to maintain, I recommend playing on this option with 2-4 people as you can't respawn without the help of a friend. The last and most intimidating option out of all is "Hard" this gamemode is for the hardest of hardcore survival gamers and is pretty hard. Getting revived will restore your inventory. Playing on this gamemode with a partner is recommended as you can get revived once your health bar reaches 0. Your inventory is drained on respawn and thirst and hunger are slightly harder to maintain. The third option is "Normal" I recommend this one for the semi-serious survival gamer thats looking for a challenge but still trying to have fun. This little bit will make more sense after you understand the HUD ingame. You will not lose any items in your inventory on respawn, your food and thirst bars are not as easily drained as if you were on a harder difficulty. The next gamemode is "Easy", if you are creating your first world I recommend starting on easy. Other then that this gamemode is pretty much just to screw around. Its similar to "creative mode" on Minecraft, I recommend this gamemode to "first time" players to get the hang of building and crafting. Once you click "New World" which is the first option on the main menu, you will be greated with 4 options. The first option/gamemode (creative) is pretty self explanatory, you have infinite resources and the sky is the limit. Before you hop straight into a new world let me help and guide you with the settings, characters, etc. A fishing rod is also essential for catching fish – a valuable source of food. This is the main menu that you are greeted with once you launch the game. Start by creating tools such as a wooden spear or an axe these will help you defend yourself against threats and gather resources more efficiently. Most raft survival games have a crafting menu accessible through an inventory system or workbench interface. Once you have gathered an assortment of resources, it’s time to start crafting basic items that will aid in your survival journey. However, be cautious of underwater predators that may lurk in these areas. ![]() Be on the lookout for underwater wrecks or sunken ships they can provide you with rare materials that are essential for advanced crafting recipes. Use your trusty hook to reel them in and collect these items.Īdditionally, diving into the water can yield even more resources. These often contain valuable resources like wood, scrap metal, or even food supplies. As you float along the vast ocean on your humble raft, keep an eye out for floating debris such as barrels or crates. In any raft survival game, gathering resources is the first step towards successful crafting.
